Closures and cancellations due to COVID-19http://for.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/board-news/127Closures and cancellations due to COVID-19<div><strong>On May 19, the Premier’s Office announced that all publicly funded schools in Ontario will remain closed for the duration of the 2019-2020 school year, in response to COVID-19</strong>. As such, Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) schools and adult learning centres will not reopen on May 31, 2020. The decision to extend the school closure period for the remainder of the school year is based on advice from Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health in order to protect the health and safety of students, families and staff. <br></div><div><br></div><div>The following programs/meetings will not run or are closed:<br></div><div><ul><li>Permits (Community Use of Schools)</li><li>All EarlyON and Child Care Centres</li><li>Adult and continuing education</li><li>Dual Credit and Cooperative education programs<br></li><li><div>Parent Involvement Committee (May 26, 2020)<br></div></li><li><div>Special Education Advisory Committee (June 1, 2020)<br></div></li><li><div>First Nations Education Advisory Committee (June 11, 2020)<br></div></li></ul></div><div>In addition, the Education Centre and the Career Centre are closed to the public.<br></div><div><br></div><div>Learn more at <a href="http://www.scdsb.on.ca/covid-19">www.scdsb.on.ca/covid-19</a><br></div>

We will meet in the FHPS Library at 6 pm. Families will receive a letter from your homeroom teacher next week outlining the payment plan for this trip, and payments will be posted to School Cash Online in the first week of December.</p>

Opportunities for Students with ASDhttp://for.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/school-news/59Opportunities for Students with ASD<p>In Spring 2019, the SCDSB is offering After School Social Skills Development Programs to support students with ASD at locations in Barrie, Orillia and Angus. Feb 12 - All buses and vans cancelledhttp://for.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/school-news/54Feb 12 - All buses and vans cancelled<p>​Feb 12, 2019<br></p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span lang="EN-CA" style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:arial, sans-serif;">All school buses and vans in <strong><span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;">Simcoe County</span></strong></span></span><strong><span lang="EN-CA" style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:arial, sans-serif;"> </span></strong><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:arial, sans-serif;">have been cancelled due to the winter storm warning posted by Environment Canada and their forecast for significant amounts of snow, blowing snow and ice pellets throughout the day.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:arial, sans-serif;">Schools remain open for student learning for those that can make it safely to and from school.</span></p>
